The origins

Everything begins with genuine passion

Family · Chef Umberto Asero · Since 2019

Some places begin with an idea. Others with a necessity. La Briciola begins with passion: Umberto Asero's passion for a freer, contemporary and personal cuisine.

IThe passion

Everything begins with genuine passion

In 2019, in Colico, a new project takes shape: a restaurant bringing a different, freer, more contemporary and more personal cuisine to the area. La Briciola begins this way, from the desire to cook with identity and welcome with care.

IIThe chef

Umberto Asero's path

Behind La Briciola is the story of Umberto Asero, a chef who made cooking his world. A path built through restaurants, experiences in Brianza, Milan and Monza, teaching, private courses and years spent searching for his own voice.

IIIThe growth

Something new, without losing authenticity

Arriving in Colico with a modern Mediterranean proposal was not obvious. Tradition is strong here, and that made the challenge more stimulating: proposing something new without losing authenticity. Growth came slowly, through daily work and word of mouth.

« Guest after guest, dish after dish, La Briciola became a recognizable place for those seeking a careful, sincere cuisine different from the usual. »

IVToday

Two different places. One single idea.

Then came a new opportunity: bringing that same identity to a location facing the lake. This is how La Briciola al Lago was born, a new home for a cuisine that keeps evolving. The historic site became LOVE Colico, a more informal, modern and convivial project dedicated to pizza and grill.

LOVE Colico

The more direct, urban and convivial energy of the historic site, born once again from the desire to bring something that was not there before.

« Cook with identity, welcome with care and leave a real memory with those who sit at our table. »
